The Clearing-Out, the Revelation, and the Sovereign Self

The energy of November is deep, quick, and anchored in the truth.

This is a month of intensity, revelation, awakening, and purging on a scale that may feel unprecedented:

• Secrets that have been buried are finding their way to the surface.
• Structures that have held through sheer habit are being tested at their foundations.
• And each of us, in our own way, is being asked to shed whatever we can no longer carry into the next chapter.

We cannot carry the baggage of the past. Whether it is collective baggage or deeply personal, the shadow work is not optional, it is the doorway.

A Brief Look Back: The Full Moon in Taurus

The full moon in Taurus on October 25th-26th delivered exactly the intensity we anticipated. The T-square between the Sun, Moon, and Pluto at 3 degrees of their respective fixed signs created tremendous pressure, a kind of boiling point where things that had been held in place were forced to shift. If you felt that, personally or in the world around you, you were responding to something very real.

That full moon energy has not dissipated. It has set the stage for everything November is about to bring.

The Double Retrograde — Mercury, Venus, and the Deep Dive Inward

As we enter November, both Mercury and Venus are retrograde.

And remarkably, both station direct on November 13th, creating a very clear before-and-after quality to the month.

Mercury retrograde in Scorpio is digging up facts, conversations, and truths from the past. Venus retrograde is doing the same with our relationships and our values. Together, they create an atmosphere where what has been concealed, in our communication and in our connections, is being drawn inexorably toward the surface.

Mercury retrograde is squaring Mars in the opening days of November, and this could manifest as sharp words, confrontations over buried facts, or the kind of heated exchange that happens when something unsaid finally demands to be spoken.

Meet this energy with as much honesty and as little reactivity as you can.

After the 13th, when both planets resume direct motion, expect a greater sense of forward momentum.

But the digging, the processing, and the revelations of the first two weeks are not a detour. They are the essential clearing that makes that forward movement meaningful.

Mars at 20 Degrees of Leo — The Eclipse Degree Returns

In early November, Mars is crossing 20 degrees of Leo, the exact degree of the total solar eclipse on August 12th.

Whatever was seeded for you at that powerful threshold is now being energized with fresh force.

This is not a gentle reactivation. Mars brings assertion, courage, and sometimes confrontation. If you can recall what was unfolding in your life around that eclipse, pay attention to what echoes now, because this is the same story advancing to its next chapter.

And it does not resolve quickly.

Mars will eventually retrograde back to this degree, not stationing direct at 20 degrees 55 minutes of Leo until early April.

Jupiter, too, continues to transit this area, not passing 20 degrees of Leo for the last time until next June. So whatever is being activated now is part of a long, sustained process. These are not one-hit events, but are chapters in a much larger unfolding.

The Triple Conjunction — Mars, Jupiter, and the South Node

The most powerful configuration of the month builds around its midpoint. Jupiter is exactly conjunct the South Node on November 12th at 25 degrees of Leo. Mars follows, conjunct the South Node exactly on the 14th.

The South Node speaks to the past, to what we are releasing, to karmic patterns whose time has come. In Leo, this is specifically about leadership, about the heart, about whether power has been exercised with generosity and courage or with grandiosity and self-interest. This is true collectively, and it is true for each of us in the quiet territory of our own lives.

At its most constructive, this configuration is a catalyst for heart-centered leadership.

It is the potential to change the pattern of the past and bring in something more authentic, more generous, more genuinely in service of others.

Where you have used your power well, this can be an extremely positive time. Where the old patterns persist, the South Node will make that very clear.

This midpoint energy also carries financial undertones.

Scorpio and Pluto are both linked to invested money, to resources held beneath the surface, and to questions of where wealth has accumulated and how transparently it has been managed.

Mercury squaring Pluto from the 10th through the 16th only amplifies this, potentially bringing financial revelations alongside the personal and collective ones.

I would simply say: pay attention to what surfaces, and trust that whatever is being revealed is being revealed for a reason.

The New Moon in Scorpio — Sacred Excavation

The new moon at 16 degrees 53 minutes of Scorpio is the heart of Part 1, and it arrives with extraordinary force.

This new moon is square to Mars in Leo, bringing that theme of power, assertion, and potentially anger right into the seed moment of the lunation.

Set your new intention for this area of your chart, but know that whatever you are seeding here will need to be built on absolute honesty.

Mercury, still retrograde, is in a square to Pluto and a quincunx to Uranus during this period. This is perhaps the clearest signature in the chart for revelations.

Mercury square Pluto digs up what has been buried: secrets, hidden agendas, information that was deliberately concealed. The quincunx to Uranus, the planet of truth and sudden insight, ensures that what is uncovered may arrive with startling speed and from unexpected directions.

The new moon also forms a sesqui-quadrate to Neptune, now retrograde at 1 degree of Aries, right on the world point where issues are thrown onto the public stage. Neptune governs illusion, deception, and everything that obscures clarity. Its presence here suggests that the dissolving of illusions, both personal and collective, is very much part of this lunation's purpose.

Mars, from its position in Leo, forms sesqui-quadrates to both Ixion and Saturn, creating a taut triangle of tension between the demand for heart-centered, courageous action (Mars in Leo), the sacred rebel who refuses to play by rules that are no longer right (Ixion), and the weight of traditional authority and structure (Saturn).

This is the tension many of us feel in our bones right now: the pull between what the soul knows must change and the structures that insist on staying as they are.

Just hours after the new moon, the Moon itself moves into an exact square with Mars, Jupiter, and the South Node. The emotional temperature will be high. Channel it consciously.

The Inner Work — Becoming a Sanctuary of Light

As events in the outer world intensify and the pace of change accelerates, I want to offer a practice that has become central to everything I teach.

Turn inward.

We do not see the world as it is. We see it through the lens of our own state of being. If that state is fear, we anticipate and attract fearful experiences. If it is gratitude, coherence, and love, we begin to experience the world through that frequency instead.

There is, undeniably, a great deal of incoherent energy moving through the collective right now: chaos, disruption, uncertainty. What we can do, through our breath, through our meditation, through even five minutes of conscious stillness, is take that incoherent energy and transmute it into something coherent. And we broadcast that coherence outward, not just to the people around us but to the collective field itself.

This is not passive. This is perhaps the most powerful and productive thing any of us can do right now. And it is free. And it does not take long.

When a complex system is far from equilibrium, small islands of coherence in a sea of chaos have the capacity to shift the entire system to a higher order. That is what you are. That is the role you are playing, whether you realize it or not.

How to Use This on Your Soul's Journey in November

Through the retrogrades (until November 13th): Let the excavation happen. Do not rush to fix, explain away, or suppress what surfaces in your relationships or your inner life. Mercury and Venus are both doing sacred work beneath the surface. Trust the timing.

At the New Moon (November 9th): Set your intention in the area of your chart where 16 degrees of Scorpio falls.

Each new moon is an energetic seed planting, and the fruits of this intention will be seen as it unfolds.

This is not a lunation for polite wishes. It is a lunation for the kind of truth that transforms.

At the Mars-Jupiter-South Node conjunction (November 12th-14th): Ask yourself, with compassion but without excuse, how you have been using your power.
