January 2026: The Threshold of Initiation
Dear Friends,
What becomes possible when you stand at the threshold of something unprecedented?
The second half of January carries an energy unlike anything we've experienced in the first weeks of this new year. It is dynamic, forward-moving, electric with possibility.
We are fully stepping into dynamic times we are sure to remember—a cosmic acceleration that asks you to dream boldly, act courageously, and trust that your soul chose this exact timing for your awakening.
From my years of teaching intuition development, I've learned that the greatest transformations happen not when we resist change, but when we recognize the cosmic currents carrying us forward and choose to ride them with conscious intention.
This is one of those moments.
We are in the Year of the Fire Horse when you take the wisdom from Chinese Astrology—an energy that last graced our world in 1966, a time of cultural revolution, artistic brilliance, and bold demands for equality and human rights. Fire Horse energy doesn't tiptoe. It gallops forward with passion, independence, and the kind of courage that breaks through barriers and makes the impossible suddenly, thrillingly possible.
This is just the beginning. The astrology of 2026 is absolutely jam packed with initiations, revelations, the further expansion of our collective consciousness. What unfolds in the coming weeks sets the tone for an extraordinary year ahead.
So take a deep breath–feel the stillness behind the last breath & explore what the cosmos is offering you this month.
The Capricorn New Moon: Building from Sacred Ground
On January 18th at 28°44' Capricorn, we experience a new moon unlike any other in recent memory. This is not simply a monthly reset—this is a cosmic seeding moment, a chance to plant intentions that will blossom throughout this transformative year.
What makes this new moon so potent is the massive stellium surrounding it. We have six planets gathered in Capricorn and Aquarius—the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto—all working together to birth something new. This is a lineup of extraordinary power, a convergence of energies that speaks to both completion and beginning, structure and innovation, the past and the future standing at the crossroads together.
Capricorn is the sign of structures, foundations, long-term planning, and pragmatic vision. It asks us to get real—to assess what is actually possible, what can be built to last, what requires strategic planning and disciplined effort. Capricorn doesn't dream in abstract ideals; it builds with stone and mortar, one deliberate step at a time.
But here's what's fascinating: this Capricorn stellium is straddling the threshold into Aquarius, the sign of the future, innovation, equality, and revolutionary change. We are being asked to stand with one foot in the wisdom of the past and one foot in the vision of what's possible ahead. This is the dance of consciousness you and I are entering.
And all of this—Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars—is trining Uranus in Taurus. When multiple planets trine Uranus, the planet of awakening and breakthrough, we receive cosmic support for innovation. The trine is a harmonious aspect, meaning that change flows more easily, insights arrive with clarity, and new forms emerge with less resistance.
Uranus in Taurus has been revolutionizing our relationship with values, resources, and security since 2018. It has asked us to reimagine what we consider valuable, to question our attachment to material stability, to trust that true security comes not from external structures but from inner sovereignty. Now, with this Capricorn stellium trining Uranus, we're being given the energetic support to build new structures based on these evolved values.
Venus and Mars are also conjunct during this new moon. Venus and Mars together represent the sacred feminine and sacred masculine—the receptive and the assertive, the magnetic and the dynamic, the heart and the will. They are working incognito at this new moon
Whatever is being born at this new moon is being conceived in the hidden realms, gestating in the unseen. There is much happening behind the curtain—shifts in relationships, changes in financial structures, movements of power that won't become visible until February when these planets emerge from the sun's rays. Trust what you cannot yet see. Trust what you sense in the quiet.
So what does this mean for you?
Ask yourself: What new structures do I want to build for my life? What long-term vision am I ready to commit to? What requires strategic planning, realistic assessment, and disciplined effort?
And then ask the deeper question: What would I create if I were truly courageous?
The Cascade of Truth: January 20-23
As we move deeper into the second half of January, we encounter what I call a cascade of truth—a series of powerful conjunctions between personal planets and Pluto, the planet of secrets, hidden power, and deep transformation.
On January 20th, Venus meets Pluto at 3° Aquarius.
Venus governs our values, our relationships, our sense of beauty and worth, and our connection to money and resources. When Venus conjuncts Pluto, we're asked to examine where our values have been compromised, where our relationships carry hidden power dynamics, where our sense of worth has been diminished by external forces.
This conjunction can bring deep transformation in how we relate to wealth and currencies. On a personal level, pay attention to control dynamics in your romantic relationships. Pluto can bring up jealousy, possessiveness, or power struggles—not to destroy the relationship, but to bring hidden patterns into the light so they can be healed.
The question Venus-Pluto asks is: What do I truly value?
Where have I given my power away in relationship? What would it look like to reclaim my sovereignty while remaining open-hearted?
On January 22nd, Mercury joins Pluto at 3° Aquarius.
Mercury governs communication, thought patterns, information, and how we perceive truth. When Mercury meets Pluto, secrets come to light. Information that has been hidden, suppressed, or obscured suddenly becomes visible. This is the piercing sword of clarity cutting through illusion.
From my years of teaching intuition development, I've learned that truth always emerges when consciousness rises. We cannot suppress what wants to be known—not indefinitely. Mercury-Pluto is the cosmic revealer, the aspect that says, "Enough hiding. It's time to speak what is real."
This is a powerful day for research, investigation, deep conversations, and uncovering what has been concealed. But it's also a day to examine your own relationship with truth: Where have you been lying to yourself? What truth have you been avoiding? What needs to be spoken but hasn't been?
Aquarius is the sign of truth, equality, and collective good. Pluto in Aquarius is bringing to the surface all the ways humanity has operated from inequality, control, and separation. Mercury joining this energy amplifies the revelation. Pay attention to what emerges on this day—both in the collective and in your personal life.
On January 23rd, the Sun conjuncts Pluto at 3° Aquarius.
This is the apex—the peak of the cascade. The Sun represents our core identity, our life force, our conscious will. Sun-Pluto is an annual conjunction, happening once a year, but this year it carries extraordinary weight because we also have Mercury, Venus, and Mars all conjunct Pluto within days of each other. Five planets converging on Pluto's transformative fire.
This is about power—but not power over others. This is about reclaiming your sovereign power, your right to exist as you truly are, your freedom to live according to your own soul's truth rather than external expectations or inherited limitations.
Sun-Pluto brings up themes of freedom, human rights, civil rights, and authentic self-expression. The Moon on this day will be in Aries, adding a feisty, assertive, pioneering quality to the energy. This is not a day to play small. This is not a day to hide. This is a day to stand in your truth and claim your place.
On a collective level, we may see powerful movements around equality, justice, and revolutionary change. Remember that Pluto in Aquarius historically correlates with demands for greater equality—we saw this in the 1770s during the American and French Revolutions, and we're seeing it again now as we recognize the inequality that has become unsustainable.
The question Sun-Pluto asks is: Where does my true power lie? What am I ready to stand for? How do I express my authentic self without apology?
This is a forceful, revolutionary day. Use it wisely. Use it courageously.
“Set clear intentions at the January 18th New Moon. Write them down. Speak them aloud. Make them concrete and specific. This is the cosmic planting of seeds and it will bear fruits the entire year.
Each new moon this year will act as a powerful intention setting-use them wisely! ”
Neptune Exits Pisces and Enters Aries
The spiritual warrior awakens.
Neptune in Pisces has invited us into compassion, empathy, emotional healing, and the dissolution of boundaries between self and other. For 15 years, we've been learning to feel more deeply, to connect with our intuitive nature, to honor the mystical dimension of existence.
But now Neptune moves into Aries—the warrior, the pioneer, the initiator. This changes everything about how we approach spirituality, healing, and imagination.
The last time Neptune was in Aries was 1861 to 1875—a period marked by both massive advancement and significant conflict. This tells us something important: Neptune in Aries brings the spiritual into the realm of action. It can manifest as assertive healing and pioneering imagination, or it can manifest as spiritual delusion fueling aggression. Which version we experience depends on our collective consciousness.
On a personal level, Neptune in Aries is asking you: How will you channel your spirituality into bold, courageous action?
This is about becoming a spiritual warrior—not in the sense of fighting, but in the sense of standing firmly in your truth, pioneering new ways of being, taking charge of your own healing journey, and refusing to wait for someone else to give you permission to live according to your soul's calling.
Neptune in Aries demands active spirituality. No more passive meditation without embodiment. No more spiritual bypassing where you use spiritual concepts to avoid taking action in the world. Neptune in Aries says: Bring your spiritual practices off the cushion and into your life. Be the change. Lead the way. Pioneer new forms.
You'll be inspired to take bolder, more assertive steps to protect and nurture your emotional and psychological well-being.
We're all being asked to champion individualism within our spiritual practices—to trust that your unique path is valid, that you need to create your own spiritual self as the birthright of your soul!
Raw Power and Revolutionary Will
On January 27th, just one day after Neptune enters Aries, Mars conjuncts Pluto while the Moon conjuncts Uranus.
This is what I call a forceful day!
Mars is the planet of action, desire, will, and directed energy. Pluto is the planet of transformation, power, death, and rebirth. When these two meet, we're working with concentrated force—the kind of focused intensity that can move mountains or destroy what stands in its way.
Mars-Pluto can manifest as brute force, power struggles, and confrontations. On a collective level, we may see demonstrations, protests, or clashes between those holding power and those demanding change. This is revolutionary energy—the people's will meeting the structures of control.
But Mars-Pluto can also be used constructively. This is the aspect of laser focus, unwavering determination, and the capacity to accomplish what seems impossible through sheer force of will. If you have a project that requires intense concentration, a goal that demands everything you have, or a vision that needs relentless commitment—January 27th is your day.
The Moon conjunct Uranus adds another layer: this is the emotional body of the collective (Moon) meeting the energy of awakening, rebellion, and sudden change (Uranus). People may feel electrified, restless, ready for revolution. There's a sense that change is not just possible but inevitable.
The question for you is: How will you harness this power?
Where in your life do you need absolute focus? What requires your concentrated will? What old pattern needs to be completely dismantled so something new can emerge? What would you do if you had access to unlimited force and determination?
But here's what's crucial: Mars-Pluto asks you to use power consciously. Power without consciousness becomes destruction. Power with consciousness becomes creation.
Choose consciously.
How to Use This on Your Soul's Journey in January
The astrology of this month is asking you to participate consciously in your own evolution. Here's how:
Set clear intentions at the January 18th New Moon. Write them down. Speak them aloud. Make them concrete and specific. Trust that your soul chose this exact timing. You are here now, reading this, because you came to Earth specifically to be part of this transition. Your presence matters. Your frequency matters. Your conscious choice matters.
