December 2025: The Sacred Shift
Dear Friends,
What does it mean to dissolve before you transform? To release form before you can embody something entirely new?
December 2025 asks us to surrender to the "in-between"—that liminal space where the caterpillar becomes liquid, formless, pure potential waiting to emerge. From my years of teaching souls, I've learned that our greatest resistance often comes not from the transformation itself, but from the dissolution that precedes it. We want to skip the void. We want to bypass the darkness of the cocoon. But it is precisely in this sacred emptiness that we do our deepest metamorphosis.
This month carries an extraordinary quality of in-between-ness.
We stand at the threshold between what was and what is becoming, suspended in a space that feels both timeless and urgent, still and accelerating all at once.
Neptune's Final Breath: The Dissolution
Throughout December, Neptune hovers at 29° Pisces—the very last degree of the zodiac's final sign. This is called the anoretic degree, and it carries concentrated, potent energy. Think of it as the moment before dawn when the darkness is most complete, yet light is already being born just beyond the horizon.
Neptune will remain at this powerful threshold until January 27th, when it finally moves into Aries and we begin taking action on the visions we've been incubating. But for now, we are being asked to surrender to the formless. To let go of structure. To trust the void.
This is the cosmic womb space—fertile, dark, mysterious, and rich with creative potential. Everything that will be born in the coming year is gestating now in this liminal passage.
On a spiritual level, Neptune at this final degree invites us into states of divine stillness. This is not the stillness of stagnation, but the stillness of pure presence. No thought, no desire, no agenda—just being held in sacred space, suspended in divine neutrality. From this emptiness, everything becomes possible.

Neptune's highest expression is unconditional love, divine connection, and mystical union with all that is. Its challenging expression can bring confusion, deception coming to light, or a sense of disorientation as old structures dissolve. Both are happening simultaneously this month. Illusions that have supported false narratives are washing away. What remains is truth—sometimes uncomfortable, always necessary.
The Gemini Full Supermoon: Crossroads
On December 4th, we experience a full supermoon at 13° Gemini. A supermoon means the moon is exceptionally close to Earth in its orbit, amplifying emotional intensity and bringing heightened awareness to whatever is being illuminated.
But this is far more than just a full moon. This is a mutable grand cross—one of astrology's most potent configurations for transformation through choice.
The sun and moon oppose each other, as they do at every full moon, but they also square the lunar nodes. The nodes represent our karmic path: the south node shows where we've already been, the patterns we've mastered but must now release, and the north node reveals our soul's path of growth moving forward.
This creates a cosmic crossroads. A choice point. The universe is asking: What are you ready to release? Which patterns no longer serve your evolution?
With so much mutable energy present—six planets occupying Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces—we are being given extraordinary flexibility. Mutable signs are adaptable, fluid, changeable. They flow like water, bend like willows in the wind. This grand cross isn't forcing us into rigid transformation; it's offering us the gift of choice within the dissolution.
Gemini governs information, communication, and perception. This full moon shines a brilliant light on how we think, what we believe to be true, and where our minds may be scattered or distracted rather than focused on what truly matters. It asks us to examine: Are we making our home in the mental realm, endlessly processing information without integration? Or are we bringing our highest understanding into embodied action?
This is a time when truth emerges—sometimes suddenly, sometimes in ways that surprise us. Gemini, like Pisces, is a dual sign. It reveals duality, shows us where things are not as they seem, illuminates duplicity so we can choose clarity instead.
The question at this crossroads is profound: Do we fall back into familiar patterns of the past, or do we consciously choose a different path forward? The grand cross creates tension specifically to catalyze choice. We cannot stay neutral. We must decide.
Mars Conjuncts the Galactic Center: Raw Creative Power
On December 12th, Mars reaches 27° Sagittarius and conjuncts the galactic center—the heart of our Milky Way galaxy, the source point from which all energy radiates.
Mars is the planet of action, will, desire, and directed energy. When Mars touches the galactic center, we're being given access to raw creative power. This is the cosmic fire from which we build our reality. This is pure potentiality waiting to be shaped by conscious intention.
Sagittarius is the sign of vision, expansion, wisdom, and the big picture. It asks us to dream beyond our current circumstances, to envision what's possible rather than what's probable. With Mars activating this galactic source point, we have the energetic fuel to begin moving toward those expanded visions.
But remember—we're still in the cocoon. We're still in Neptune's dissolution at the final degree of Pisces. So this isn't yet the time for aggressive action or forceful doing. Rather, this is the time to clarify your vision, to feel into what you want to create, to align your will with your soul's highest purpose.
Think of it as gathering the raw materials. Mars at the galactic center is loading the cosmic cannon. But we don't fire it until Neptune moves into Aries in late January and Saturn enters Aries in February. For now, we're in sacred preparation.
From my years of working with clients on intention-setting, I've learned that the quality of what we create depends entirely on the clarity of our vision and the alignment of our energy during the incubation period. This is that period. Use it wisely.
“These final months of 2025 ask us to release attachment to how things were and to allow those illusions that were truncating our soul power to dissolve. This requires a particular kind of spiritual maturity that comes from trusting your ability to discern which pathway serves your highest, soul power.
This is a time for asking yourself:
What would I create if I truly trusted my soul’s wisdom? What would I dare to dream if I knew the universe was conspiring in my favor?
Then begin preparing now to make it real.”
The Capricorn Solstice: Turning Point of Light
On December 21st, the sun enters Capricorn, marking the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere and summer solstice in the southern hemisphere. This is one of the four cardinal turning points of the year—a moment when light shifts, when the cosmic wheel turns, when we cross a threshold.
Solstices have been honored as sacred moments by every wisdom tradition throughout human history. They mark transformation points in the annual cycle, times when the relationship between light and darkness fundamentally changes.
This year's Capricorn solstice carries particular potency because it occurs while Neptune is at that final degree of Pisces, while we're still deep in the void space, still suspended in the chrysalis. The solstice becomes a crystallization point within the dissolution—a moment of structure within the formless.
Capricorn energy brings commitment, discipline, long-term vision, and the capacity to build lasting structures. As the sun moves into Capricorn, we begin to sense the container that will hold whatever is being born from this period of sacred emptiness. We begin to glimpse the form our transformation will take, even while we're still dissolving.
This is the longest night of the year in the northern hemisphere—the maximum darkness before light begins to return. It mirrors perfectly the spiritual journey of December: we must fully surrender to the darkness of the cocoon before the butterfly can emerge into the light.
Uranus Stations Direct: The Awakener Moves Forward
On December 10th, Uranus stations direct at 29° Taurus, having been retrograde since early September. When a planet stations—becomes stationary before changing direction—its archetypal energy intensifies. For several days surrounding the 10th, Uranian themes will be magnified.
Uranus is the awakener, the liberator, the bringer of sudden insights and revolutionary change. It governs electricity, technology, innovation, and breakthrough consciousness. Its energy can feel disruptive, unexpected, even shocking—but always in service of waking us up to greater freedom and authentic truth.
With Uranus at the final degree of Taurus, we're completing a journey that began in 2018. Taurus governs our values, resources, security, and connection to the material world. Uranus moving through Taurus has revolutionized how we relate to money, work, earth resources, and what we consider valuable. It has shaken the foundations of financial systems and asked us to completely reimagine security.
As Uranus prepares to move into Gemini in 2026, these final degrees are potent. What have you learned about true security? Where have you discovered that stability comes not from external structures, but from inner sovereignty? What outdated values are you ready to release?
Uranus stationed direct in the midst of Neptune's dissolution creates an interesting dynamic. While Neptune asks us to surrender and dissolve, Uranus asks us to awaken and liberate. Both are necessary. We must release what no longer serves before we can step into the radical freedom of who we're becoming.
Looking Ahead: The Emergence
As we move through December's sacred cocoon, remember that everything gestating in this darkness will emerge into form in the coming months. Neptune moves into Aries on January 27th, and Saturn follows in February, bringing the energy of action, initiation, and bold new beginnings.
This is your preparation time. The vision you clarify now, the old patterns you release, the stillness you cultivate—all of this becomes the foundation for what you'll create beginning in February.
December 2025 invites you into the sacred surrender.
What emerges will be aligned with your soul's deepest truth and highest purpose.
